Japanese Sumo: Ancient, Sacred, and Male-Only?

If you know Japan, you know sumo. Even if you don’t know Japan, you probably know sumo. What does sumo look like to you? I recently visited the University of Oslo— my first in-person talk in more than two years—to speak about sumo from the perspective of gender.
